The Bachelor of Sacred Science Degree – Major: Natural Health/ Alternative Medicine award is a unique series of courses rarely found in schools and colleges of Holistic, Complementary, Alternative Medicine (CAM), Natural Medicine, or traditional, Holistic, Indigenous (U.N.- WHO Defined), Humanitarian Aid Mission Services and Social Work, Native American, and Bible-based Holistic nutrition and nutritional health.

Our Bachelor’s degree in Sacred Natural Health/ Holistic Alternative Medicine can enable you to explore the exciting field of religious therapeutics, natural health, traditional, Holistic, Indigenous (U.N.- W.H.O. Defined), Humanitarian Aid Mission Services and Social Work, Native American, and Bible-based Holistic nutrition and nutritional health, and alternative medicine and learning to work in the alternative medicine environment.

This degree program is excellent for practicing healthcare professionals, such as nurses, massage therapists, spa directors, and medical assistants, looking to incorporate indigenous and traditional natural healing methods into their careers. Students learn about the different modalities associated with alternative medicine with courses such as Ayurveda, SomaVeda® Thai Yoga and Yoga Therapy, Herbology and Botany, Nutrition, Anti-Aging, Homeopathy, Detoxification, Antioxidants, Indigenous and Native healing and medicine, and Traditional Chinese Medicine.

The Bachelor of Sacred Science Degree – Major: Natural Health/ Holistic Alternative Medicine can provide students with a holistic approach to health and wellness and prepare students for entry-level careers in Holistic alternative medicine or traditional, Holistic, Indigenous (U.N.- WHO Defined), Humanitarian Aid Mission Services and Social Work, Native American, and Bible-based Holistic nutrition and nutritional health.

Unique requirements require novel approaches. Instead of the traditional (secular) curriculum design, we researched what health educators at both leadership and practitioner levels need to know and be able to do in missionary services. We then used this analysis to develop a series of learning outcomes, and from this, we created this unique online curriculum. The subjects you study all yield essential knowledge and skills – no redundant or superfluous material exists in your study program. We have graduated many successful practitioners with these courses.

We aim to make studying as pleasant as possible without compromising standards. The College residential requirements are modular and allow for the student to begin developing a personal and or clinical practice after completing the first class! All courses in the online curriculum (Second Year)  are entirely self-contained, online, and have no prescribed textbooks. In addition, each of these subjects is presented to you in easy-to-handle units. This Bachelor’s program is produced in a radically different online format. They are interactive, self-contained formats. The subjects require you to consult our Lesson Readers to complete a series of self-evaluation exams based on various online resources provided within each course.

ATTENTION! The four-module residential Pre-req may be completed simultaneously once the first or Module/ CTP1 is completed! This shortens the overall time to completion potentially by one full Year! PREREQUISITES: 1028 Hour SomaVeda® Teacher Certificate + 60 credit hours – Associate Degree minimum or qualification Certificate as a Holistic Health Provider, traditional, Holistic, Indigenous (U.N.- WHO Defined), Humanitarian Aid Mission Services and Social Work, Native American, and Bible-based Holistic nutrition and nutritional health. Equivalent to a recognized program or accredited school of Natural Medicine, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Naturopathy, etc.

GRADUATION: Completing all residency, clinics, and online course exams; short thesis upon completion. This is the main advantage of the SomaVeda College of Natural Medicine (N.A.I.C.- A.C.N.M.) – it provides the practitioner or student with many different tools and protocols to use in clinical practice that go far beyond any one modality.

A Modular System
The Bachelor of Sacred Science Degree – Major: Natural Health/ Alternative Medicine consists of many modular courses covering various health topics.  Several individuals required systems offer independent certificates to demonstrate proficiency and specific recognitions, such as the Ayurvedic Yoga Therapist Certificate and The Thai Yoga Teacher Certificate. This encourages the student to implement this knowledge base in clinical practice after completing each course.

Course materials are of the highest available standards and are easy to follow. The modular course structure based on a combination of traditional in-class and didactic and distance learning allows students to work at their own pace while working elsewhere without disrupting family or work life. The student can even work while they are traveling as much of the coursework is in the online format and can quickly be completed anywhere there is a reliable internet connection. are

There are also many interactive videos and documentaries to watch; you can even copy these directly to your laptop and watch them on a plane. There are also hundreds of links to many other sources of helpful information – these courses have taken many years to write and develop and are at an advanced level that is difficult to match. Ideally, The courses should be taken sequentially to benefit from the prerequisite knowledge required to build on. Expertise
Finding a College that takes all these modalities and more is scarce. It puts them into a Bachelor of Sacred Science Degree – Major: Holistic Natural Health/ Holistic Alternative Medicine course – this is the essence of this course – you will not only be studying homeopathy or herbal medicine or naturopathy, but you will study enough of each to be able to practice as a competent Holistic Health practitioner, dealing with many health issues that using only one healing modality will not be able to help. Our BSSc Degree program includes over 25 unique complementary and alternative medicine specialties practiced daily in private practice in ministry, humanitarian aid missions, and natural care clinics worldwide.

This is made possible because the Founder and Academic Dean of the American College of Natural Medicine (A.C.N.M.), Dr. Anthony James, has been studying natural methods of health for over 30 years and has amassed degrees and diplomas in the biological sciences, clinical nutrition, herbal medicine, Native American Medicine, homeopathy, Naturopathy, Ayurveda, Oriental Medicine and Acupuncture, energy medicine, Iridology, Colon Hydrotherapy, sclerology, live blood analysis, thermography, clinical psychology, and clinical sexology, along with additional training and certification in over 50 modalities of healing and Humanitarian Aid Service Missions (SMOKH, Blue Cross- Blue Crescent Society), as well as many research interests and publications. Along with Dr. Charles McWilliams, Dean of the PanAmerican School of Natural Medicine (Nevis, West Indies), our primary educational and medical directors have collectively studied natural health methods for over 70 years. They have amassed degrees and diplomas in the biological sciences, clinical nutrition, herbal medicine, homeopathy, naturopathy, Su Jok acupuncture, energy medicine, iridology, sclerology, live blood analysis, thermography, clinical psychology, and clinical sexology, along with a lot more training in other modalities of healing, as well as many research interests and publications.

Not only did the two founders spend a lifetime studying all these topics in depth, but they have applied this knowledge by sponsoring and building Holistic treatment centers in the US, Nevis West Indies, Ecuador, Thailand, and India that use all these modalities and more and sees patients from all over the world, specializing in the treatment of chronic disease. Students taking the Professional Diploma in Natural Health will be able to spend time undertaking clinical work at these cutting-edge Holistic Centers as part of their requirements.

If a student decides to go on to complete the Doctor of Sacred Natural Medicine Degree –  Major: Natural Medicine, there will be further courses to complete, along with the dissertation (400 hours), making an additional 2,000 hours. This is added to the 2595 hours of the BSc (NH), making a total of 4,595 hours. This is equivalent to just over 500 days of solid work – a lot can be learned in this time!

Clinical PracticumBachelor of Sacred Science Degree – Major: Natural Health/ Alternative Medicine students will have an opportunity to study with Dr. James and adjunct faculty at our primary US-based physical school in Tampa, Florida, as well as our satellite and affiliate clinics and training facilities in Nevis, West Indies, Ecuador, Thailand and or Kerala South India and will be able to get hands-on training in all aspects of the holistic healing arts. This will be the student’s opportunity to see the application of everything they have learned on actual patients with real diseases.

Studying in other Holistic Clinics and Centers closer to home is also flexible, but the College must assess these before being certified to accept students.

Dissertation
To complete the Bachelor of Sacred Science Degree – Major: Natural Health/ Alternative Medicine, there is a dissertation based on empirical work or case studies that must be completed by the end of the course.

Postgraduate Courses
After completing the Bachelor of Sacred Science Degree – Major: Natural Health/ Alternative Medicine, it is possible to immediately move on to the postgraduate Doctor of Natural Medicine/ Traditional Naturopath – DNM (ND). Credits from the Bachelor of Sacred Science Degree – Major: Natural Health/ Alternative Medicine will be automatically transferable towards this higher degree. All coursework, clinics, etc., in the BSc (HM) is required and included in the Doctor of Natural Medicine (DSNM/ SND) Degree.
